Facility Introduction
X-ray
In addition to the chest and abdomen, images are taken of the shoulders, hips, knees, elbows, wrists, ankles, etc.
Bone density testing
Bone density can be measured by taking an X-ray of the bones in your hand.
What percentage of your bone density has decreased compared to younger people?
It shows how good you are compared to people your age.
Abdominal ultrasound examination
It can screen for diseases of the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys, spleen, prostate, uterus, ovaries, etc.
Echocardiography
It measures the function of the heart, the contractile force that ejects blood, and the expansion function that stores blood.
If valvular disease is present, its diagnosis and extent can be estimated.
Depending on the results of these screening tests, you may be referred to a cardiologist if necessary.
Thyroid ultrasound examination
The thyroid gland is examined for enlargement, internal condition, tumors, and inflammation.
We will perform a comprehensive thyroid diagnosis along with thyroid hormone tests.
If further testing is required, we will refer you to a specialist.
Breast ultrasound examination
If there is a lump in the breast, we can estimate whether it is a benign breast tumor, a cyst (a bag of fluid), or suspected breast cancer. If it is clearly a tumor, we will refer you to a specialist.
Vascular ultrasound examination
An ultrasound of the carotid artery is performed to directly check the state of arteriosclerosis using images.
Patients with lifestyle-related diseases often have plaque, which is a mass of oil and calcium, on the walls of their blood vessels. If the plaque is large and causes narrowing of the blood vessels, we may require you to take blood-thinning medication in addition to strengthening treatment for the underlying disease.
For patients with swollen or edematous legs, we can use an ultrasound to check for blood clots in the veins of the lower legs, along with blood tests for thrombosis markers.
Vascular Age Test
By measuring blood pressure in both arms and legs and analyzing the data using a computer, the degree of arteriosclerosis can be determined.
Arteriosclerosis progresses without any noticeable symptoms. When symptoms appear, they appear as vascular occlusions, such as myocardial infarction or cerebral infarction.
In fact, when we measure high blood pressure and hyperlipidemia at our hospital, we have found that patients in their 50s were diagnosed as being over 90 years old. Managing lifestyle-related diseases is extremely important.
General blood tests
Measures the numbers of white blood cells, red blood cells, platelets, etc.
When there is inflammation, the white blood cell count increases quickly.
If anemia is present, iron deficiency, vitamin zinc deficiency, etc. are suspected and further detailed tests will be conducted.
A decrease in platelet count indicates cirrhosis of the liver, hypersplenism, severe infection, and decreased bone marrow function.
The following detailed inspection is required:
Blood Chemistry Test
In the hospital,
CRP: an indicator that increases when there is inflammation.
HbA1c = An index to know the state of blood sugar level of diabetic patients over the past 1-2 months
Measure the following:
Other tests include evaluating electrolytes such as sodium and potassium, and the levels of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the blood.
Blood gas testing is available.
Outside the hospital, many detailed tests can be performed, but the results will not be available until the next day or later.
Culture test
In patients with pneumonia, infectious gastroenteritis, or urinary tract infections, bacteria contained in sputum, feces, urine, and blood
A sample will be taken and examined at a testing center.
